OVGA Hall of Fame
The Ottawa Valley Golf Association roots date back to 1921 as the Ottawa District of the Province of Quebec Golf Association.
In celebration of this wonderful milestone, we are launching our own Hall of Fame. The class of 2021 inductees will be announced by early summer, and award ceremonies will be scheduled for late summer or the fall.
The purpose of the Ottawa Valley Golf Association Hall of Fame is to acknowledge, honour, and perpetuate the memory of those who have made a significant and positive contribution to golf in the area served by the Ottawa Valley Golf Association, as amateur or professional competitors, directors, officials, builders, or others.
To be eligible for induction into the OVGA Hall of Fame, whether alive or posthumously, candidates should, normally, have lived or pursued their golfing activities in the area served by the Ottawa Valley Golf Association and reached the age of 35.
There are two categories of nominees:
Amateur or Professional Golfers will be judged on their wins in OVGA and Area Championships, plus Provincial, National, and International as well as Professional Competitions and as well their significant contributions to the game of golf in the area served by the Ottawa Valley Golf Association and beyond.
Builders are persons or organizations that have demonstrated a significant impact and influence on golf in the area served by the Ottawa Valley Golf Association and beyond as Administrators, Course Managers, Volunteers, Media, and others.
Hall of Fame Committee Members:
Dru Lafave – Co-Chair. OVGA Tournament Chairman
Joe McLean – Co-Chair. OVGA Historian and Former President
Alex Pugh – OVGA Director, Intersectionals and Former President

Each nomination package will be validated against the guidelines in the Nomination Package for the categories of Player or Builder.
These guidelines are a minimum baseline for a nomination to be accepted, and not a baseline for induction. The final selection of inductees will be the responsibility of the OVGA Hall of Fame Committee.
NOTE: The OVGA Hall of Fame Committee has the right to consider a nomination which does not meet the minimum guidelines but falls within exceptional circumstances.
