Late Entries and Cancellations

A $10 subsidy will be added to entry fees for those received after a draw is posted to the website.

A $25 fee will be levied for cancellations received after a draw is posted to the website.

There is no refund for cancellations within 24 hours of the event.

OVGA POLICY FOR ENTERING TOURNAMENTS & VERIFICATION OF HANDICAP FACTORS -- MAY 11, 2010

As announced by Golf Canada (RCGA) the former "RCGA Handicap Card" no longer exists.  The following policy was adopted at the May 11, 2010 meeting of the OVGA Board of Directors.  Those Club members and or Club Staff who are responsible for provision of entry forms to the OVGA for OVGA events are to be aware that:

1.  All entries to OVGA Events must include Handicap Facors for ALL ENTRANTS, verified as of the date of forwarding the entry form;

2.  Entry forms will be signed and/or verified by the authorized Club representative(s) and supplied to the OVGA by fax, or e-mail or regular mail;

3.  Where handicap factors are not provided, the person(s) is not eligible for NET competition and will play at "0" handicap factor (i.e. "scratch");

4.  Other forms for providing a player's handicap factor will not be accepted and handicap factor verification will not take place at the registration desk;

5.  Seeding in the draw will be as per OVGA policy and at the discretion of the appropriate Director (i.e. Men's Tournament Director, Women's Tournament Director, Junior Development Director.)

TO ENTER AN OVGA TOURNAMENT,
the authorized Club member and/or member of Club Staff will:

1.  Collect the sign-up sheet/poster and list the entrants' names on the appropriate OVGA Tournament Entry Form;

2.  Verify all Handicap Factors for those signed-up for the event, using the Club's Handicap System, and ensure that there is a factor included for each entrant;

3.  Personally sign the fax or mailed-in entry form, certifying all information appearing on the form;

4.  Include, in the case of e-mail entries, the statement:  "Handicap Factors have been Certified by [ name of authorized person ] as of this date".

5.  Mail a copy of the Entry Form and the relevant fees to the OVGA Office:  PO Box 23048, Ottawa, ON  K2A 4E2.
